Limavady Zone Qualifiers

Limavady Crfc players overcame an unusually hostile atmosphere at their own national finals to progress to the Irish finals with the sweetest of nights for the all conquering club. It appears that the majority of the large crowd came along for the sole purpose of making life difficult for the Limavady players. This practice is becoming all too common in the game today and sadly it is born out of one thing, jealously. Limavady came away from Saturday’s final with the plaudits after 2 Singles, 2 Triples and the Rinks titles to their credit and if they add a World title to the list in March the national finals next year will require private security.
The full line up of qualifiers look strong with potential winners in each competition, could be a big year for the North West

  1. Nobody likes the team that is winning, just the way it is.

  2. Think you have got your facts wrong!! i was at the final and all i seen was cocky over-sensitive players. I can choose who i clap for and who i dont

  3. Sadly the comments are true, a large portion of the crowd DID not want any of the Limavady CRFC win. Even zone players both men and ladies clapping any bowl against the rugby players. Its funny the the previous poster choose WHO to clap for instead of clapping good bowls no matter who delivered them. SHAME ON YOU.
Its a shame that this happened but it will contiinue in limavady - the team doing well is hated, Even the mighty Leck team had people wishing they would be beat as they held the record for the longest winning streak in the league.
The term "over-sensitive" has been heard before, but i'm confident that the people that voiced their intentions against the rugby club on saturday, (which was noted) can expect choosen words when they met and play against them!!

  4. Im not from north west but i always found the limavady players very sporting and dignified in victory bar one who reared his head a a recent zone game. Victory is the name of topic here, its sad that the north west cant be happy for the 3-4 players who are bringing only good thing to the zone, outside playing Ryan does some great work with the juniors. Stop being so jealous and be proud you have such good players in your zone
