"Development Questionaire

It has been suggested by Mr Satirical that the questionaire be put up again. The response earlier was not as great as hoped but the views expressed were interesting and thought provoking. The questionaires do not need a name but it would help authenicate it if the name was provided and indeed all returns (posted or returned by hand) so far did put their name to it. This would also enable us to go back to someone for more detail or clarification. The Committee of Jimmy Pinkerton, Jean Parkinson and Seamus Kyne will collate the suggestions put forward and present a report to the IIBA Executive Council (Officers and Convenors) for discussion. Whatever decisions are subsequently made will be the responsibility of the Council. The Committee have not yet met to discuss the returns so far due to the Christmas break and national championships but will do so in early February so as to provide as much time as possible to look at the ideas put forward before the new season. All questionaires returned will be treated confidentially and a break down of suggestions will be posted at a later date. So if you have any views on how we might promote and develop the game in general, do take time to complete and return the questionaire."

We are now into the new season and still no news of what suggestions were put forward to the IIBA Executive Council. Often members complain that their opinions are not being listened to by the Big Noises at the IIBA. The evidence to back that up is now plain for all to see. Maybe we are all being protected from ourselves as Big Brother (and sister) know best.
