Armagh's Title Charge

The Armagh Men will be hoping for better luck this Saturday than their ladies team had last weekend. The Armagh men have earned a deserved reputation for being dogged opponents and have won all before them during the last year after adding the Top Team Title to last season's Boomer win. In the Top Team event they blew away England and Wales' best without even getting into second gear. While many pundits are pointing to the Mid-Ulster / Oriel semi final as the one which will produce this years Champions, they may well be doing Armagh a great service by taking the spotlight and pressure off the reigning champs.

Armagh have strength in depth, with Irish Internationals old and new in abundance throughout their rinks. They have possibly the strongest front end players of all the remaining sides and one other vital ingredient, they know how to win!

Despite what some might say, Armagh will not under estimate their West Down opponents but neither will they fear them. They will give them the respect they deserve and know that anything less than a top performance could see them lose their crown. West Down were the last team to beat Armagh and the memory of that extra end defeat just might be enough to spur the Orchard boys on to victory.

  6. Thinking that no posts will be deleted is a bit ambitious, but posts will not be deleted because the author of this blog disagrees with the response received they will be deleted if people are being attacked from the cowardly stance off Anon. Equally if i decide to write about a certain subject i will show the reader the courtesy to respond to my viewpoint without bashing them with the delete button.
